Development Center for Biotechnology

The Development Center for Biotechnology (DCB) of Taiwan is a nonprofit organization founded in 1984. Co-sponsored by government grants and private donations, DCB's purpose is to advance Taiwan's biotech-pharma industry by building infrastructure, developing key technologies, and training talented workforces in coordination with government, industry, and academic institutions.

The mission of DCB is fourfold:

(1) To serve as a bridge between Taiwan's academic research institutes and biotech-pharma industry.
(2) To help shape and develop Taiwan's biotech-pharma industry.
(3) To help connect Taiwan's biotech-pharma industry with the world.
(4) To execute programs based on national policies for biotechnology development.
